Unique Mobility are proud to collaborate with a number of charitable organisations within the disability sector. We work together to support people living with disabilities and their families to access support and funding. Below are organisations that we work with as well as other charities that do great work in this sector that offer services which may be helpful.

The Make Way Foundation

The Make Way Foundation funds wheelchairs for children. The charity was founded in 2023 by Matthew and Fleur Bryant after their son Toby was quoted a years' waiting time for a wheelchair via the NHS. Sadly Toby recently passed away as his legacy their mission is to support as many children as possible who need wheelchairs in order to be able to live their lives to the full. Unique Mobility have supplied a number of wheelchairs through funding from the Foundation over the past year. You can read about our recent handover with Archie in our blog

On 24th June 2024 Matthew from the Foundation will be cycling 300 miles over 3 days ending at our Plymouth Showroom to raise funds for the Make Way Foundation and Shooting Stars Children's Hospices. To support them in their epic challenge please donate here via their Just Giving Page.

The Child Brain Injury Trust

The Child Brain Injury Trust is the foremost voluntary sector organisation which provides emotional and practical support, information and learning opportunities for families and professionals affected by childhood acquired brain injury across the UK. Their CBIT In Hand App is a useful tool for accessing resources and signposting to support as well as finding suppliers like Unique Mobility who offer products and services to support those affected by childhood brain injury.
