How Does the Motability Scheme Work?

The Motability Scheme allows you to exchange your qualifying mobility allowance for your choice of a powered wheelchair, scooter, brand new car (with relevant adaptations) or wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV) on a lease basis. 

For worry-free motoring, the Motability Scheme also includes:

• Home delivery and collection

• Insurance Cover

• Servicing, maintenance and repair

• Breakdown assistance and recovery

• Battery and tyre replacement
