What’s new on the Trekinetic GTE 4?

The GTE Series 4 builds on the previous GTE Mk3 with improvements designed to make outdoor journeys more capable, comfortable and convenient.

Double the torque for challenging terrain

New twin 150W hub motors deliver 50Nm of torque per wheel — twice that of the previous GTE. This additional turning force improves capability on hills and rough ground.

Greater ground clearance and improved hill climbing

Maximum ground clearance increases from 85mm to 120mm, while the maximum gradient increases from 6° to 10°. These upgrades help the Series 4 negotiate more demanding outdoor routes.

New Everyday and Off-Road wheel positions

The new dual-purpose camber system offers two configurations:

• Everyday mode: a narrower stance for manoeuvring indoors and around town.

• Off-Road mode: a wider stance for added stability, with raised ground clearance for uneven terrain.

Improved jack stands support the chair while changing wheel positions.

Improved stability, comfort and convenience

Additional updates include:

• Longer wheelbase for improved stability uphill and downhill.

• Stronger shock absorber options to make raising and reclining the seat easier.

• Premium padded armrests for everyday comfort.

• Easy-access battery box beneath the seat.

Can the Trekinetic GTE 4 be used on gravel, mud and sand?

Its folding design allows transport in suitable vehicles. Car boot dimensions, the chosen chair configuration and loading arrangements should be checked before purchase. It is also crash tested for use in a WAV and can be configured as flight safe for air-travel (subject to individual air line requirements).
