Off-Road Event Frequently Asked Questions

  • Simply complete the booking form on this page to select your preferred test drive slot. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking is recommended.

  • The event is taking place at Parke, National Trust, Bovey Tracey. Follow the driveway keeping left towards the carpark. We’ll be located in a clearly marked area to the left of the cattle grid at the entrance to Parke, next to the main car park. Look out for signage and our team on arrival.

  • Our team will welcome you, confirm your booking, provide parking guidance if needed, and guide you through your demo experience.

  • We’ll have a wide range of all-terrain mobility equipment available from leading manufacturers, including powerchairs, scooters, wheelchair power attachments, and manual all-terrain wheelchairs. When booking, you’ll be asked which products you’re interested in so we can allocate suitable demo slots. Limited spare availability may be available on the day, but this cannot be guaranteed.

    Equipment Includes:

    • Magic Mobility XT4 / X8 /Magic 360 4WD All Terrain Powerchairs
    • Quantum Outback 4WD powerchair
    • Permobil X850 and Invacare Storm X-Plore powerchairs
    • Dietz Sango Advanced 16" wheel powerchair. Adult and Junior versions. Suitable for indoor and multi-terrain outdoor use.
    • Sterling S800 Scoozy multi-terrain capable scooter
    • TriRide Wheelchair Power Attachments: Compact HT front attachment, T-Rocks and MTW All-Terrain powered wheel and front attachment.
    • Trekinietic GTE Powered all-terrain wheelchair + K2 and K"+1 manual and attendant control all-terrain wheelchair.
    • Pride Wrangler, Mini Crosser and Bandit scooters.

  • Yes — the event is completely free to attend, and parking is also free for attendees. Please display the parking badge provided when booking or collect one from our team on arrival. National Trust members are encouraged to scan their membership cards as usual.

  • Facilities at Parke include:

    Accessible toilets, outdoor seating and picnic areas, walking routes, and the Home Farm Café serving drinks, cakes, and lunches. Most visitor areas offer level access, although there are some slopes and the café front entrance includes steps — a step-free side entrance is available.

    Our team will also be on hand to advise on suitable routes depending on your mobility equipment and needs.

  • Absolutely — friends, family members, carers, and support workers are all welcome.

  • The event is suitable for anyone interested in outdoor mobility and access solutions, including mobility equipment users, carers, healthcare professionals, and families.

    If you already own an all-terrain scooter or powerchair, you’re still very welcome to attend to test other products, meet manufacturers, connect with other users, and enjoy the accessible trails at Parke.

  • We recommend bringing any mobility aids you currently use, weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, and any questions you may have about equipment or accessibility needs.

  • No — you’re welcome to attend just for your booked demo slot or stay longer to explore equipment, speak with manufacturers and specialists, and enjoy the atmosphere and surroundings. Photography may take place during the event for promotional purposes, so please let our team know on arrival if you would prefer not to appear in images.

By Car:

Parke is signposted from the A38 at Bovey Tracey. On arrival follow the driveway to the visitor car park. We will be based on the left just after the cattle grid.

Parking:

There is on-site parking, including designated accessible spaces. Parking is free for attendees of our event. Please display the parking badge provided when you book to attend our event.

If you are a National Trust member please scan your card at the parking machines

Public Transport:

The nearest train station is Newton Abbott which is approx. 6 miles away by taxi.

The 39 Stagecoach bus from Exeter bus station stops at Bovey Tracey around a 15 minute walk from Parke.
