Permobil M3 Corpus

Compact Mid-Wheel Drive Powerchair with Advanced Seating

The Permobil M3 Corpus combines the manoeuvrability of a compact mid-wheel drive base with configurable seating and powered positioning. It is designed for people who need a prescription powerchair that works well in tighter spaces without overlooking comfort and performance on everyday outdoor journeys.

Permobil’s Corpus seating system can be tailored to support your posture and daily activities. Available functions include Active Reach, which tilts the seat forward by up to 20° to help with reaching and transfers, and Active Height, which allows driving at up to 5km/h while fully elevated. The M3’s Smooth suspension is designed to help maintain comfort and control over everyday obstacles.

Seating, Controls and Clinical Support

Our rehab product specialists assess how you sit, transfer, drive and use your powerchair throughout the day. We can explore powered positioning, specialist drive controls and suitable third-party cushions or back supports where these are compatible with the final configuration.

Where more detailed clinical input is helpful, our in-house Occupational Therapist can provide a separate specialist seating assessment or pressure mapping through Unique Mobility Clinical Services. We can also work alongside your own OT, physiotherapist or case manager.

From our Launceston, Plymouth and Exeter branches, we support customers across Devon and Cornwall with assessments, setup, handover and ongoing servicing through our in-house team.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the M3 and M5 Corpus?

Both are configurable mid-wheel drive powerchairs. The M3 places greater emphasis on a compact base and everyday manoeuvrability, while the M5 offers a stronger focus on driving performance and suspension over varied surfaces. An assessment and demonstration can help you compare them.

Can the M3 Corpus be configured with specialist seating or controls?

Potentially, yes. We will assess your seating and driving needs, then confirm which specialist seating components or alternative controls are compatible with your proposed chair.
