Disabled Adventurer Nick Wilson Completes First #50at50 Challenge on the Tarka Trail in Devon

Disabled Adventurer Nick Wilson Completes First #50at50 Challenge on the Tarka Trail in Devon. As part of his ambitious #50at50 campaign, disability advocate Nick Wilson (@disabled.adventurer) recently completed his first 50km challenge along the Tarka Trail in North Devon.

Unique Mobility was delighted to be asked by Nick to provide essential support on the day, delivering battery changes and technical assistance to help him complete the journey.

Nick’s challenge aims to highlight an issue many powerchair users face: battery range anxiety. Although modern powerchairs are incredibly capable, battery range can still limit how far users feel comfortable travelling.

Unique Mobility recently had the pleasure of joining disability advocate Nick Wilson – better known online as @disabled.adventurer – at Calvert Devon on Exmoor as part of the centre’s 30th anniversary celebrations.

Nick invited our team to visit the fully accessible outdoor activities centre and demonstrate the capabilities of the Quantum Outback all-terrain powerchair, a chair designed to help wheelchair users explore environments that traditional powerchairs often struggle to reach.
